Rocky Michaels is a multi-award-winning independent singer-songwriter/recording artist. He began playing piano at age 5 and crafted his skills into songwriting throughout high school.
In May of 2023, Rocky was named as a finalist for 'Male Rising Star of the Year', 'Single of the Year' (Better Man), 'Music Video of the Year' (Best Part of Living) 'Emerging Artist of the Year' and 'Male Songwriter of the Year' by the International Singer Songwriter's Association (https://issasongwriters.com/).
In May of 2023, he was also named as a nominee for 'Song of the Year' Folk/Americana (Better Man) by the Josie Music Awards (https://www.josiemusicawards.com/).

Rocky recently returned home from Atlanta Georgia. Rocky had an amazing experience having attended the 2023 International Singer Songwriter Awards (ISSA). This is an international organization 19,000 strong….and growing! This is also where Rocky Michaels and the Team at BIG Records had the opportunity to meet.
ISSA is dedicated to supporting independent artists in all genres of music worldwide. From the red carpet, the interviews, the live performances and awards, it was a great time had by all!
Rocky Michaels was extremely honored and humbled to have won ‘Best Music Video’ award for his song, Best Part of Living. As he stated in his acceptance speech, "with all the divisiveness in the world today, music continues to serve as that great common denominator to help bring the world a little closer. "
With a number of new songs currently in the pipeline, Rocky is excited to continue tapping into his life experiences to offer honest lyrics in storytelling that audiences have found to be both engaging and relatable.
