I can't put into words how I am feeling this morning. I woke up and was getting ready for the day when I received a message from Don Pearse the owner of KPHR Blairmore' Best Rock and one of my favorite people.
In the message Don informed me that I had won bronze at The 2024 ISSA Awards for International DJ, Host for KPHR, The Big Show, and A Chat With....
Since I was unable to attend the awards I will be recording my thank you speech as requested by the organization. But I just want to send a few thank yous out now.
Firstly I want to thank Tamanie Dove and all the judges and all the singers, songwriters, show hosts for all they do. I would also like to thank Don Pearse, Brenda Tyrrell, Tim Steinruck, Dan Freeman (who makes me want to be a better host), Scotty Campbell, Arty Hawkins, and Armando DaSilva (not bad for a guy with his hat on backwards and shoes untied eh?), Kevin Shea, The Late Tom Fulton and Earl Warren (google them) from Zoomer radio am740, and Andy Posthumus for giving me my start as The Mighty Monster of The Morning, Giovanni LoForte always an inspiration, All the artists I have had the honor of interviewing especially Tommy Grasley (Rock and Roll Brother), ROCK'N Vodka and Garage Oil for believing in me, and my little hootenanny and most of all you the listeners who voted me into the final.
