So much of our lives are spent just swimming on the surface of it. We don’t really want to go deep because we sense potential danger and pain. But the reality is we can’t really grow or evolve unless we dive deep to discover the sharks deep within the ocean of our lives. Those predators that are slowly eating us from the inside. Just because we can’t see them, or want to look at them, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. It takes courage and a profound personal commitment to explore the depth of ourselves. As we overcome the fear to “go there,” and root out the things that aren’t serving us anymore, we often find the buried treasure that was hidden from us by our own subconsciously created predators of happiness. I experience this every day within myself, and in my coaching practice. Do yourself a favour. Go deep and grow. It’s the path to healthier relationships and successful careers.
