Streaming for movies and music has changed the market. However, streaming as it is currently structured is predicated on an economic and financial structure that isn't sustainable in the long term.

Excellent points. What is the total compensation comprised of (up front pay, residuals, etc.)? How much do they get paid? When do they get paid? In the world of music, musicians and songwriters frequently do not get paid to create their content....

It would be good to know how much said actors have already been paid when shows were originally aired. And aren't actors paid even if the shows are not actually aired? So one could argue that if they have already been handsomely paid, this is not as big a deal as being made out. OTOH, why would anyone forego decent royalties forever if they can get them?

Ticketmaster / LiveNation appear to have very aggressive business practices, coupled with business capabilities and services that keep them in a dominant position. I wonder if any competition simply wasn't good enough to make sufficient inroads. There seems to be sufficient information and interest to support some form of anti-trust / monopolistic practices investigation.
